CARDI B has given birth to her second child, and Offset’s fifth.
The hip-hop couple announced on Instagram that they had become parents to a son, making Cardi’s first child Kulture, a big sister.
Simply captioned as “9/4/21,” Cardi B is seen sitting in a hospital bed cradling her baby boy , wrapped in a blue blanket and wearing a blue knit hat, with husband Offset dressed in blue seated next to her.
“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” the couple wrote in a statement shared with USA TODAY. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Offset posted his own birth announcement on his Instagram, with the Migos rapper sharing an image of himself cradling the newborn to his shirtless chest.
To the left sat Cardi as she looked over at them from the hospital bed, with the caption writing: “Chapter 5”. Their newborn son becomes Offset’s fifth child.
He shares 3-year-old Kulture Kiari with Cardi, and he’s also the dad of 6-year-old Kalea, 6-year-old Kody, and 11-year-old Jordan from previous relationships
Cardi B announced her second pregnancy when she joined Migos on stage during a medley performance, at the 2021 Black Entertainment Awards (BET), for their song ‘Type Sh–t’. The rapper wore a black, glitter bodysuit, featuring a sheer panel over her abdomen that exposed her growing belly.
The day after the performance, Cardi B shared a picture to Instagram of her growing belly being caressed by young Kulture.
“I just know these two will love each other soo much and argue soo much since they’re 3 years apart…just like me and (sister) Henny. But one thing for sure is they’ll have each other’s back like no one else ever will,” she tweeted along with the image.
Cardi then shared a picture with Offset cradling her baby bump with the caption: “We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing.
“Our home feels so blissful and very busy but we are ready and so happy!”
The public eye has seen the rollercoaster relationship of some of hip-hop’s biggest acts. Two years into their marriage, Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almanzar) filed for divorce at a court in Fulton County, Georgia, requesting to dissolve her marriage to the Migos rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus. However, the two reconciled and dismissed the court filing.
