BLACKPINK’S Lisa joins MAC as global ambassador

SOUTH Korean pop sensation Lisa has continued her global trailblazing by becoming beauty brand’s MAC newest global brand ambassador.

The BLACKPINK vocalist joined the esteemed list of A-list ambassadors from October when the brand made the announcement via the website and social media. 

The new announcement makes Lisa – real name Lalisa Manobal – the first female K-pop singer to land a covetable beauty role with MAC. Lisa will be a frequent face on MAC’s collections and campaigns, inspiring some of the brand’s new projects in the role.

“I have always been a fan of MAC! I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression which always gives me great confidence on stage”, the singer, dancer, rapper says. “Together with MAC, I am excited to invite and empower more audiences as we both have individuality and diversity at our core”.

BLACKPINK fans will also be able to attempt Lisa’s looks by getting tips on how she uses MAC products by watching videos where they will get beauty tips and skincare routines.

The K-pop singer and her bandmates have been on a career high with the successful release of their debut album, a newly-released Netflix documentary, as well as collaborations with some of the world’s biggest fashion labels. 

The South Korean band escalated to pop stardom by topping charts and setting records on Youtube, and have made quite the impression in the fashion world with each member securing brand ambassadorships for some of fashion’s most recognizable brands.
