Sundowns Partner with Roc Nation

SOUTH African based team Mamelodi Sundowns have announced a partnership with global sports agency, Roc Nation Sports.

The American industry titans have applauded Sundowns climb to continental success and revealed ambitions to grow the team’s brand into the “biggest club in African football in the world”.

Sundowns explained their vision and will collaborate with Roc Nation to “drive change through impactful initiatives and alignments, with the greater purpose of uplifting communities and lives.” the club said in a statement.

With the intent of maintaining Sundowns high-standard of football Roc Nation Sports will provide consultation regarding “transfers and the global football market”, led by Head of Football Alan Redmond

“The core vision of the partnership includes changing the narrative of South African sport, striving for excellence, and living up to the club’s motto of the sky being the limit.” said Tlhopie Motsepe, Chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns aspirations to ascend to Continental dominance are fueled by their domestic success in South Africa. Masandawana (As Sundowns are commonly called) are the current 2021 Premier Soccer League Champions, holding 11 domestic league titles, 18 domestic cup titles with continental success coming in the 2016 CAF Championship and the 2017 CAF Super Cup Championship.

The partnership is a springboard for Mamelodi  Sundowns to access a plethora of resources en route to the global football market.
