Young girl rescued from rubble in Turkey 178 hours after quake

A young girl named Miray was rescued from the rubble of an apartment block in the southern Turkish city of Adiyaman, 178 hours after a devastating earthquake shook the region, a minister and media reports said. Broadcaster CNN Turk said the girl was six years old and that rescuers were also close to reaching her older sister. Gunman kills three women at Rome residents’ meeting

THREE women were killed when a man pulled out a gun and opened fire at a meeting of residents of an apartment block in Rome, Italian media reported. The reports said a 57-year-old man had been detained after the shooting, which happened at a bar in the Fidene district where the meeting was being held.
