Deputy Minister admits to taking cash
ZIZI KODWA, South Africa’s Deputy Minister of State Security has admitted that payments were made to his personal account by a senior executive whose company benefitted from government tenders. Testifying before the judicial commission into state capture, theft and corruption, Kodwa said the R1-million he received from Jehan Mackay in 2013 was a loan, R890 000 of which was used to purchase a Jeep vehicle.
