Former DRC PM faces arrest warrant in graft case
PROSECUTORS in the Democratic Republic of Congo have issued an arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Matata Ponyo Mapon over allegations he misappropriated $140 million, two government sources told Reuters. Matata, who served as prime minister under former President Joseph Kabila from 2012-2016, has faced corruption accusations as investigators appointed by President Felix Tshisekedi dig into the conduct of the previous government.
