AFRICAN MIRROR REPORTER ARCHBISHOP Emeritus Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s ashes have been interred at the altar at St George Cathedral in Cape Town, at a private service attended by his widow Leah and the family. Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba interred the ashes in the front of the high altar. He was assisted by Dean of the Cathedral Michael Weeder and Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana, general secretary of the South African Council of Churches.
