Landmine kills seven Niger electoral officials
BOUREIMA BALIMA A vehicle belonging to Niger's electoral commission struck a landmine in the southwest of the country during yesterday's presidential election, killing seven people and seriously wounding three more, a local commission official told Reuters. Harouna Mounkaila, the vice president of the commission's local branch, said the incident took place in the rural commune of Dargol in the Tillabery region.
