NIGERIA is ready to reopen its land borders to trade for the first time in more than a year after closing them to try to stamp out smuggling, the finance minister said on Wednesday. SOUTH Africa will allow travel from October 1 to and from all countries in Africa as well as other countries where levels of COVID-19 infections are not too high, a government minister has announced. For countries outside Africa, the government will determine whether entry is allowed depending on that country's COVID-19 infection and transmission rate, Cooperative Governance Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said.
