POLICE have broken up a militant cell linked to Islamic State in the southern Tunisian city of Tataouine, the interior ministry said. Police said the cell was planning attacks with explosives and trying to recruit young people, according to the ministry statement. TUNISIAN police fired tear gas on protesters yesterday after hundreds tried to storm a government headquarters in the southern city of Tataouine to protest against the government's failure to provide jobs, witnesses said.
