Beyoncé & JAY-Z splurge on world’s most expensive car

BEYONCÉ and JAY -Z are the new official owners of the world’s most expensive luxury car, a Rolls-Royce valued at a whopping US$28 million.

According to an anonymous source that broke the news to The Telegraph, musicians Beyoncé and JAY-Z reportedly commissioned the Rolls-Royce custom-built Boat Tail, which features a rear deck with high-end double coolers, matching chairs, and a parasol.

The American couple have not released any confirmation on their recent purchase (as they never have in the past with other luxury or business purchases), but many of Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s fans, as well as media websites, have come up with two main possibilities for the Carters’ most recent purchase.

The first (and for many, most obvious) reason is the colour of the Rolls-Royce. The car has a custom paint job in the colour of powder blue, which is both their favourite colour, and the first name of their eldest child Blue Ivy Carter.

Another possible reason for the purchase is the car’s yacht-like features, which includes the rear deck cooler. According to Rolls-Royce, “A double refrigerator houses the clients’ favourite vintages of Armand de Brignac champagne.

“Bottles can be rapidly cooled to precisely six degrees – the optimum serving temperature of the preferred vintage.”

JAY-Z owns half of the Armand de Brignac company, after purchasing it in 2014 and then selling off some of its stocks earlier this year.

There is also speculation from the media that the car was bought as an addition to JAY-Z’s vast car collection, which is quite spectacular in terms of the rare models he has acquired over the span of his career.
