HOLD onto your hats, entertainment junkies! ChafZar Lifestyle, in Mbombela, South Africa, just threw down the gauntlet for what’s being billed as the region’s most ambitious cultural love-fest, and Easter 2026 is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
Picture this: South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique walk into a bar—actually, scratch that—they’re taking over an entire weekend at ChafZar for the inaugural Tri-Nations Weekend Festival (02-05 April 2026), and the lineup reads like someone’s fever dream wish list of Southern African talent.
“We’re basically throwing five parties in four days,” says ChafZar’s MD Ndumiso Mona, who’s clearly been drinking the ambitious juice. “Comedy, gospel, soul, spinning cars, and DJs battling it out like it’s the entertainment Olympics.”
Thursday: Laughter Without Borders
Kicking off on Thursday, April 2nd, with a Tri-Nations Comedy Night, because apparently nothing says “international relations” quite like shared belly laughs. “When Eswatini comedians hit Mpumalanga, the Swazi-speaking crowd goes absolutely bananas,” Mona reveals. “And Mozambican standup? Those cats are about to leave South African audiences in stitches they didn’t know they needed.”
Friday: Hallelujah and Hold Me
Easter Friday (April 3rd) flips the script with a Gospel Music Concert that promises to unite the holy trinity of Southern African praise music. “All three countries are mad about gospel,” says Mona. “After morning church services, we’re giving people an afternoon-to-evening spiritual afterparty.” Amen to that.
Saturday: Soul Patrol
Saturday, April 4th serves up the Tri-Nations Soul & RnB Party—dubbed “the ultimate soulful event in the region.” With a top-tier South African national DJ already locked in (names being teased like Hollywood blockbuster cameos), plus two Mpumalanga-based groove merchants, expect “RnB vibes so chilled, you’ll need a blanket,” promises Mona.
Sunday: Rubber Meets Road (Literally)
But the pièce de résistance? Sunday, April 5th, ChafZar Spin City is hosting the Tri-Nation Spin Fest. “Team SA versus Team Eswatini versus Team Moz,” announces spinning supremo Brian Malope. “We’re assembling the Avengers of car spinning. This isn’t just entertainment—it’s automotive ballet with attitude.”
As if burning rubber weren’t enough, the weekend crescendos with a Tri-Nations Battle of the DJs—an after-party serving up everything from Amapiano to Mozambique’s Marrabenta, with Kwaito, House, and Hip Hop thrown in for good measure. It’s basically a United Nations of bass drops.
Two Years in the Making
“This baby’s been cooking in the sausage machine for two years,” grins Tatenda Mandaza (DJ Tendaness to his fans), the Swazi-born producer/DJ/songwriter who helped cook up this cross-border spectacular. “Now it’s finally time to feast.”
ChafZar Lifestyle Chairman Vusi Mona isn’t playing small ball either. “We’re putting Mpumalanga on the tourism map while making sure Kanyamazane township’s economy gets a serious shot in the arm,” he declares. “Local suppliers, vendors, everyone in the value chain—this is community wealth creation wrapped in one hell of a party.”
Bottom line? Easter 2026 just became unmissable. Three countries, five events, one weekend, infinite vibes.
The Tri-Nations Weekend Festival: Because why unite nations through boring diplomacy when you can do it with comedy, gospel, soul, spinning tyres, and DJ battles?
