FORWARD sensation Thembi Kgatlana has officially become an Atlético de Madrid Femenino player.
The Spanish giants announced the two-year signing of the 25-year old South African from rival team SD Eibar after a successful 2020/21 season.
While playing for Eibar, she excelled for the team, scoring 10 goals in 21 games, which led to Atlético Madrid securing her signature.

The 2018 CAF African Woman Footballer of the Year’s international football career involves time spent in the United States for Houston Dash, in China for Beijing BG Phoenix and in Portugal for Benfica, before she was swooped up by Eibar for her first stint in La Liga Iberdrola.
Kgatlana is part of the South African national team that participated in their first-ever Fifa World Cup tournament in 2019 in France, and at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the u23 national squad.

At her unveiling in Madrid, Kgatlana said: “I am very happy to arrive at Atlético de Madrid. As a footballer, you always dream of playing for the best clubs.”
