NISSAN has rolled out the red carpet for its stellar African dealer network, crowning champions from across sub-Saharan Africa who are driving the Japanese manufacturer’s ambitious continental expansion.
In a ceremony celebrating excellence across one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets, Nissan Africa announced that Anciens Comptoirs Ries of Djibouti claimed top honours in the Small National Sales Company category, while Motus Zambia emerged victorious as Medium NSC of the Year. Ghana’s Japan Motors Trading Company secured the coveted Large National Sales Company crown, cementing its position as a regional powerhouse.
The prestigious Nissan NIMA Ignition Awards 2024 spotlight dealerships and teams delivering exceptional customer service and product support while pushing boundaries across the continent. These accolades run separately from Nissan’s North African and South African dealer recognition programmes.
“Our extensive dealer network forms the backbone of our operations across all 54 countries where Nissan operates on the continent,” declared Jordi Villa, President of Nissan Africa. “They are the face of Nissan, delivering on our promise of providing reliable, quality, innovative and accessible products and services, no matter where you are.”
Villa emphasised that the awards underscore Nissan’s unwavering commitment to Africa as the brand targets significant growth through a robust sales and support infrastructure, backed by a versatile product lineup featuring award-winning models, including the battle-tested NAVARA, sophisticated X-TRAIL, compact MAGNITE, and the legendary PATROL.
With Africa representing one of the world’s youngest and fastest-growing regions, Nissan is strategically positioning itself to capture the burgeoning middle class’s appetite for mobility. The manufacturer continues building its product portfolio locally, making it increasingly relevant and aspirational for African consumers.
“Mobility is one of the driving forces of this growth,” Villa noted. “I believe Nissan has the right partners to build on the brand’s success on the continent and expand it even further.”
Uganda’s Motorcare Limited dominated customer satisfaction awards, sweeping all three categories – Sales, Service, and Overall – a remarkable achievement demonstrating consistent excellence across all customer touchpoints.
The complete winners’ circle showcases Nissan’s pan-African reach, with dealers from Djibouti to Ghana, Mali to Zambia proving that exceptional service knows no borders.
“We celebrate each Nissan representative who goes the extra mile every day to bring our customers only the best service and support,” Villa concluded. “Together with our partners, we are looking forward to a promising future.”
As Nissan accelerates its African ambitions, these award winners stand as beacons of what’s possible when global automotive excellence meets local market expertise and dedication.
