Kim Kardashian files for divorce


REALITY star Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West after seven years of marriage. 

The celebrity pair met whilst Kardashian was finalizing a split with former NBA player Kris Humpries. The couple publicized their relationship in 2012 and tied the knot in Florence, Italy in 2014. The 200-person ceremony was featured on reality show  “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”.

The divorce comes after months of speculation after the couple had been reportedly staying in different locations, yet had not publicized the situation due to concern over their four children. Kim has requested joint legal and physical custody of their children.

“It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” a source told entertainment website E! News.

Several American news outlets reported that Kim Kardashian had supposedly devised an exit strategy that intended to make the legal split as smooth as possible. 

Divorce murmurs started filing the air after West announced his 2020 presidential bid in September. 

The Chicago-born rapper began delivering a number of questionable public speeches throughout his short lived campaign. 

The Kardashian family on numerous occasions made notions on seeking help for the rapper for his manic bipolar episodes, for which they attributed a majority of his public acts to between 2018 and 2020. 

West additionally unleashed a swirl of tweets, one of which he revealed attempts to divorce Kim in 2018. He apologized soon after.
